Devarayana Durga

I started my journey around 11am from Bangalore, on NH4.at 56th km, a signboard on the highway with half a dozen destinations grabbed a glimpse of my sight to decide the destination. It was at the Dobespet junction, where I had to take the service road, off the highway just before the flyover. And a right turn under the 2nd opening of the bridge would welcome you with another 2 roads to confuse you, the road on your left hand would take you to DD Hills. And from there another signboard reads 22kms, head straight on the same road till arch on the left hand welcomes you to your destination DEVARAYANA DURGA.

An Intersection n top would lead you to 2 different temples, I suggest you to take the temple below, and then drive another kilometer uphill for the most beautiful scenic view on the top..
This uphill fort welcomes you with the granite stairs well maintained till the temple.
A pond on top and not to miss a small walk inside a cave till  The Sri paada Theertham
The Sri Paada Theertham is said to be flowing from the abode of the Lords Paada.

It doesn't end there, the most awaiting part is the trek from this place to the peak of the mountain, Though the path is filled with bushes, the greenery would blindfold you till the peak.

Its an easy trek, but you will have to watch out every step, because the pathway becomes slippery once it rains

Finally after 15min of trek will lead you to the ruined fort built during the days of Sree Krishna Devaraya.
This appears on the the midway through the trek, But up ahead is the most spectacular view of the mother nature. I want you to go and experience the feel that the nature brings you, that's the only reason why the pics taken on the peak are not posted.

Thanks and Regards
